Our Accessibility Commitment
Center for Implant Dentistry is committed to ensuring that everyone — including people with disabilities — can learn about dental implant treatment, explore their options, and reach our team through this website. Accessibility is part of how we practice: the same precision we bring to clinical care, we aim to bring to every visitor’s experience of this Site.
Our Standard
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and we incorporate WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria — such as improved focus visibility and larger interactive target sizes — where feasible as we update the Site. These guidelines underpin the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.
What We’ve Built In
Concrete measures currently implemented on this Site include:
- Semantic structure: properly nested headings, landmarks, and lists so screen readers can navigate page sections meaningfully;
- Keyboard accessibility: all menus, forms, galleries, and interactive elements (including our privacy preferences panel and quiz) are operable without a mouse, with a logical tab order;
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields;
- Color and contrast: a centralized design system with text and interface colors selected to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, with meaning never conveyed by color alone;
- Text alternatives: descriptive alt text for informative images, including before-and-after smile gallery photos, and empty alt attributes for decorative images;
- Accessible forms: programmatically associated labels, clear error messages, and instructions that do not rely on sensory characteristics;
- Media controls: videos play only when you choose, in an accessible lightbox player, with captions or descriptive context for informational video content;
- Reduced motion: animations respect your device’s “reduce motion” preference;
- Responsive, zoomable layout: content reflows without loss at up to 200% zoom and on all screen sizes;
- Consistent navigation and clear, plain-language headings throughout.
How We Test
Accessibility is verified on an ongoing basis through automated audits (such as Lighthouse and axe-based tooling) on key pages, manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of core journeys (home page, treatment pages, scheduling a consultation), and screen reader spot-checks (VoiceOver with Safari). Accessibility review is part of our process whenever new pages or components launch.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible:
- Third-party content — embedded maps, video players, review widgets, and financing partners’ sites operate under their vendors’ accessibility practices, which we do not control. Where a third-party element presents a barrier, contact us and we will provide the same information directly;
- Legacy documents, if any are posted, may predate our current standards; we will provide accessible alternatives on request.
If you encounter any barrier not listed here, we genuinely want to know.
